All 7 Mega Man Dual Override Platforms

The seven confirmed platforms for Mega Man Dual Override, the 14 supported languages, and the edition and amiibo situation.

What this section covers

Which systems Mega Man Dual Override runs on, what differs between them, and what the buying situation looks like right now. Seven platforms are confirmed, the language list is published, two amiibo figures are announced, and the price is still blank.

"Blank" is the important word. This section is mostly a matrix of what we know versus what nobody has said, because platform pages are where sites invent the most: fake prices, assumed cross-buy, invented system requirements, "confirmed 60fps" claims with no source.

It does not cover when the game ships (that is Release Date) or the demo situation (that is Demo).

The seven confirmed platforms

Capcom's press material lists seven systems, and the same seven appear on the official product page. Nothing about the list is inferred.

Platform familySystemsNotes that actually matter
NintendoSwitch 2, SwitchThe only systems with announced amiibo support
PlayStationPS5, PS4Both listed; no separate edition announced
XboxXbox Series X|S, Xbox OneBoth listed; no Smart Delivery statement published
PCSteam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft StoreThree storefronts listed, one store page live

Three things this table deliberately does not say: that the Switch version runs at a particular resolution, that the last-gen versions are feature-complete, or that a physical release exists. None of those has been stated.

Languages: fourteen interfaces, two audio tracks

The store listing publishes a language table, and it is more specific than most sites report:

CategoryCountDetail
Interface and subtitles14Includes English, Japanese, Spanish (Spain and Latin America), Portuguese (Brazil), French, German, Italian, Russian, Polish, Arabic, Korean, Simplified and Traditional Chinese
Full audio2English and Japanese only

The practical consequence: a Brazilian player gets Portuguese text with English or Japanese voices. That is worth checking before buying, and it is the kind of detail platform pages usually skip in favour of repeating the platform list.

Price, editions and physical copies

All three are Unknown, and all three are commonly invented.

  • Price: no figure on any storefront, in any region. Not "TBA $59.99" — nothing.
  • Editions: no standard/deluxe/collector's split announced. Capcom has done collector's editions for this series before, which is not an announcement.
  • Physical: no disc or cartridge version confirmed, and the amiibo announcement should not be read as one. Two figures existing says nothing about a retail box.

If you need to plan a purchase, the honest state is: you cannot pre-order, and no amount of "leaked price" reporting changes that.

amiibo: two figures, function unannounced

Mega Man and Proto Man amiibo are confirmed for Switch 2 and Switch. Their in-game function is not described anywhere in official material — not "unlocks a costume", not "grants a weapon". Those are inferences from other games.

This is the cleanest example of the site's labelling rule: the figures are Confirmed, the function is Unknown. A reader deciding whether to buy a figure deserves that split rather than a plausible guess.

Where to start

  • Deciding which version to buy: the platforms matrix is the page with the full comparison.
  • PC specifically: the Steam page tracks the store listing, including the absence of a price.
  • Switch 2 specifically: the Switch 2 page collects what is known about the version most readers ask about.
  • Thinking about a boxed copy: physical copy explains why there is nothing to pre-order yet.

Three mistakes we see most

Assuming current-gen exclusivity. Four of the seven platforms are previous-generation systems. A "PS5 and Switch 2 only" claim is simply wrong, and it changes who can buy the game.

Reading the Epic and Microsoft Store listings as separate releases. They are storefronts for the same PC build, not distinct versions with different content.

Treating the amiibo as proof of a retail release. Figures are sold separately from games constantly. The two announcements are independent until Capcom says otherwise.

What we still cannot answer, system by system

A platform list is easy to publish and easy to over-claim. Here is the honest per-system state, which is more useful than a repeated list of logos.

SystemConfirmedStill unknown
Switch 2Listed; amiibo support announcedResolution, frame rate, whether the amiibo do anything in-game
SwitchListedWhether it is the same build as Switch 2 or a separate version
PS5ListedWhether there is a performance/quality toggle
PS4ListedWhether any feature is cut relative to PS5
Xbox Series X|SListedWhether Smart Delivery is used; no statement exists
Xbox OneListedSame as above, plus whether it is current-gen only in practice
PCThree storefronts listedSystem requirements are listed as "TBD" on Steam

That last row is worth pausing on: Steam's requirement fields exist but are filled with the literal text "TBD". A site publishing minimum specs for this game is publishing something Capcom has not.

What "seven platforms" does and does not imply

Seven systems is a wide launch, and wide launches carry assumptions that are usually wrong.

It does not imply cross-buy or cross-save. Capcom has said nothing about either, and cross-save in particular is rare in this series.

It does not imply simultaneous release. A seven-platform launch can still stagger, and last-gen versions are the usual candidate for a delay.

It does not imply identical content. The amiibo are Switch-only hardware, so any amiibo-linked feature is by definition not available on the other five systems — which is a content difference, even if a small one.

Reading the platform list as "everything is the same everywhere" is the single most common mistake on pages like this one, and it is why each system gets its own page in this section instead of a single comparison table.
